About Myami Plushies
Myiesha is no stranger to fiber arts. She first learned knitting from a Klutz how-to book in elementary school. As the years passed, her skills grew to include crochet, quilting, cross stitch, just to name a few.
Then, in September 2025, an amigurumi bunny changed everything. Even before she finished making it, Myiesha knew she would never stop making plushies and crafts. And when she realized she'd eventually run out of space to store them all, the answer was obvious: turn the thing she loves into a business.
From there, Myami Plushies was born. Myami (pronounced my-uh-me) is a combination of Myiesha's nickname, Mya, and Ami — the Japanese word for knitted and crocheted. That first bunny that skyrocketed her love was an example of Amigurumi, the popular Japanese art of knitted and crocheted yarn figures. The name felt like the perfect fit.
Myiesha hopes that her plushies become more than a cute figure on display. She hopes they can be a source of comfort on a bad day — something that makes you smile and feel a little better.
